Education a way of enlightenment from dark alley to light : Rana
Dansa/Jammu, December 19 (Scoop News) –Political to the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana today highlighted the need for exploring the hidden talent of students in the rural areas and providing them opportunities to prove their mettle at the national and international levels. He said students of rural areas are second to none in the capacity and capability to make their mark on the educational spectrum.

Addressing annual day function of Holy Trinity Convent High School at Dansal the other day Devender Singh Rana said that Omar Abdullah led coalition government is giving priority to universilization of education has opened vast avenues of accessibility to education for the students living in far flung , remote and backward areas of the state. He said about two dozen degree college and technical colleges besides various university campus and scores of polytechique and ITI institutions have been opened across the state to achieve this goal.

“Omar Abdullah is craving and working very hard to ensure that the quality education reaches far flung areas of J&K. Lets all join hands together and work for achieving this goal”, he said adding that education is the only way of enlightenment from dark alley to the light.

He said last four years of the present dispensation have witnessed considerable thrust in expansion and consolidation of education in the state. Rana said that government besides initiating measures to introduce subjects of modern science and technology in the institutions has also revolutionized the employability status of educated youth.

Rana complimented the students and teachers of the school for presenting the wonderful choreographed programmes and assured his whole hearted support to the institution.

Father Bijo Mathew the principal of the school, Rev. Father Varkey the Vicar General of Jammu-Srinagar Diocese also spoke on the occasion.
