Srinagar, December 23 (Scoop News) –Reiterating its demand for creating an environment of real change and trust in J&K especially in Srinagar city the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged upon the people of Srinagar city to strengthen the hands of the party under the dynamic leadership of Mufti Mohammad Syed in order to ensure overall development of Srinagar. An impressive meeting of youth belonging to Srinagar city from Amirakadal , Batamaloo and Sonwar constituencies was held at PDP head office in Srinagar on Sunday. Addressing the youth gathering Senior PDP leader and MLA Peerzada Mansoor Hussain urged upon the residents of Srinagar city particularly the youth to get involved in political process so that the issues related to mis governance , corruption and other issues are addressed and for achieving this PDP is the only option for them. He explained in detail how the PDP lead coalition Government in the past executed many important mega projects like Jehangir Chowk fly over , re construction of Aali Masjid , starting up of North South Corridor project development of Hari Parbat fort & Dal Lake, Widening of Srinagar roads etc. Peerzada Mansoor Hussain criticized the NC lead Government of failing to provide basic amenities like power to the people of state particularly the Srinagar city . “ we feel like living in dark ages Mansoor added .
PDP Leader Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat gave a detailed lecture on the Self Rule document through a power point presentation. He said that opening of the traditional routes like Kargil Skardu , Turtuk Khaploo , Bhimber Mirpur will usher a new era of development in J&K as this will help in economic empowerment of the people of the state and will open new job opportunities for the people particularly the youth . Muzaffar also explained the concept of joint Advisory Council which can be constituted under the Self Rule document. The Joint advisory council will take up joint projects in trade, tourism and other spheres of life benefiting both sides of Jammu & Kashmir.
Muzaffar asked the NC lead coalition Government to take lessons from the Delhi Government in handling the ongoing protests in Delhi. “The NC Government must feel ashamed of what it did while handling the 2010 peaceful protests by killing 120 innocent civilians particularly the youth and the same kind of protests are being held in Delhi right now against the Damini rap case but not a single person has fallen prey to the police bullets, this clearly indicates that NC only cares for power and for achieving this it may go to any extent.
