| Sarpanch Running Trophy” played at Tangyar in Leh | |  Leh, December 26 (Scoop News)-The two-day tour of Councillor Diskit, Tsewang Rigzin in his constituency was concluded after visiting Rongdo and Khalsar villages yesterday where the councilor inspected developmental activities and interacted with the people of these villages.
Earlier, Councilor Diskit was the chief guest on the occasion of the final match of the “Triangular Cricket Tournament, Sarpanch Running Trophy” played between the players of Diggar, Khema and Tangyar at Tangyar village.
This year the Sarpanch Running Trophy was won by the players of Tangyar village and the match was organized by RECDOT Society of Tangyar village. Archery competition was also held among the players of these three villages.
Tsewang Rigzin promised an amount of Rs 2.50 lakh out of CCDF for the youth of Diggar, Tangyar and Khema villages for promotion of sports activities such as construction of cricket and archery stadiums. Besides the villagers of Diggar, Tangyar and Khema, Sarpanch Digger, Stanzin Zasal was also present on the occasion.
