| JK Govt taking all steps for safety, security of women | |  Jammu, December 27 (Scoop News) –Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani, has said that the State Government is taking all possible measures to ensure safety and security of women.
The Minister gave this assurance to a delegation of women social workers led by MLA Indu Pawar, who is also the Mahila Congress President, J&K. The other prominent members included Lalit Joshi, Prabha Slathia, Chanchal Popli, Suman Vandana as well as women representatives from Kargil and Poonch.
Condemning the gruesome gangrape of a young girl at New Delhi that has shaken the psyche of the nation, the Minister said the security grid across the State will be mobilized to check rising instances of crimes against women.
He urged the delegation to have faith in the Government which will not spare anyone who infringes on the safety and security of women.
Ms. Indu Pawar thanked the Minister for his assurance.
