Expedite the land acquisition for college:Sagar
Sagar chairs governing body meeting of RKS, NT-PHC
Srinagar, January 02(Scoop News)-Minister for Rural Development, Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar and Minister for Higher Education and Labour, Abdul Gani Malik today inspected the recently established Government Degree College at Bagh-i- Dilawar Khan Srinagar
The Ministers took stock of the process of land acquisition which would be provided for the construction of new building campus for the College.
The Ministers were apprised about the present status of the newly established college besides visited the premises of Industrial Training Institute Bagh-i-Dilawar Khan and MP School on the occasion.
Sagar directed the District administration to look into the matter and provides every necessary help on behalf of government agencies and speed up the pace of process of land acquisition and follow up the transfer process to the college authorities.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan, Chief Engineer R&B, Principal, Amar Singh College, Principal ITI, Srinagar, Principal MP Higher Secondary School, Bagh-i-Dilawar Khan, Chief Education Officer, Srinagar, The Principal of College, Mtr. Bushra Shameem, beside other concerned officers and prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile Sagar also presided over the Governing Body meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of Government Gousia Hospital Khanyar and NT-PHC Miskeen Bagh. The Minister was apprised about the functioning and performance of the institutions.
Among others Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar, CDPO, ISM Doctors, officers from PHE, PDD, R&B, ZEO, members of various NGO’s and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
Sagar urged upon the medical and paramedical staff to deliver their best and provide better healthcare facilities to the needy people of the area. He urged upon doctors to perform their duties with dedication, zeal and enthusiasm.
Sagar also stressed upon the governing body members to put in their efforts for further improvement in these hospitals, adding that the funds available should be utilized judiciously so that the people of Shahar-i-Khas can take benefit of health care facilities. He also took stock of other renovation works and directed authorities to take necessary steps for upgrading the infrastructure, and fencing of the premises.
Minister was apprised that during the last year about 1.5 lakh people suffering from different diseases were treated in Gousia Hospital and, 700 surgeries, 400 deliveries, 28000 different diagnostic tests, 2000 Ultra sound test, 5000 X-rays and 3000 ECG tests were conducted besides 8000 children were immunized during the period.
It was also given out that about Rs. 20 lakhs were collected as revenue during last year at Gousia Hospital Khanyar.
