| Rape accused arrested in Shopian | | Man injured in a road mishap | Srinagar, January 04(Scoop News) –Shopian police has arrested the rape accused who was remanded by the court to police remand.
Shopian police arrested the rape accused Shabir Ahmad Wani son of Manzoor Ahmad Wani resident of Aliyalpora, Shopian who is alleged to have raped a minor girl November, 2012. Parents of the victim had lodged a report in police station Shopian wherein they alleged that Shabir Ahmad Wani son of Aliyalpora, Shopian had raped their daughter on 25th November, 2012. The complainant was at Delhi and could not report before police well in time.
Shopian police has registered a case FIR No. 01/2013 under section 342, 376 RPC was registered in police station Shopian. As per the district police authorities the investigation of this case has been taken on fast track basis.
Meanwhile One person was injured in a road accident that occurred in the Achabal area of Anantnag district last evening.
Abdul Qayoom Khan Son of Abdul Gani resident of Sanglan was injured when a load carrier bearing registration number Jk03C/9937 turned turtle near Labnun, Pathribal, in the jurisdiction of Police Achabal. The injured was shifted to District hospital, Anantnag for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
