| JK Government looking after medical treatment of acid victim | | MoS Home oversees arrangements at New Delhi | Jammu, January 04 (Scoop News) – State Government has put in place all required arrangements to seek best medical treatment to the acid victim girl of the State at New Delhi.
On the directions of the Chief Minister, Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani is personally overseeing these arrangements at New Delhi. He said that government would provide all possible medical treatment to the affected girl. He said police has already apprehended the culprit and would be brought to justice for severe punishment.
MoS Home said Additional Resident Commissioner of the State at New Delhi and Medical officer of New Delhi have been made liaison officers to keep liaison with affected family for any kind of support it requires at New Delhi.
Earlier, Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo visited the affected family and assured them that the person responsible for the heinous crime will be handed severe punishment. She also assured all help for latest medical treatment to the girl.
Chairperson Women commissions Mrs. Shamim Firdous also visited the affected girl’s family, expressed solidarity with it and assured all help from the government for the treatment of the girl.
Meanwhile government is working on making laws relating to crimes against women more stringent and Minister for Law has already set Law Department in motion for formulating comprehensive proposal in this regard for enactment.
