BJP condemns barbaric act of Pak troops

Jammu, January 09 (Scoop News) –Expressing anguish and anger on behalf of the entire cadre of party, BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma has condemned in strongest words the barbaric act of the Pakistan troops in killing and decapitating two Indian soldiers in Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch district yesterday.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the act of carrying head of one of the Indian soldier is most inhuman and extreme act of disrespect to the deceased. It is also against the International laws and the UN terms and conditions for treating the enemy soldiers during war time. It is astonishing that even in the absence of war during peace time, such violation of norms of International Military Decorum has taken place.
Hitting out at Congress-led UPA government at the centre, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that it is because of the inconsistent and soft policy of the Union govenment that such acts take place repeatedly and the culprits go unpunished. After every such act, the Govt. of India declares that the matter will be taken up at the highest level with Pakistan but no follow up has even been seen, which further encourages the enemy designs.
Referring to the peace talks with Pakistan, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that talks and bullet do not go together and the time has come when the Indian govenment should reconsider its policy towards Pakistan. It is most unfortunate that this incident took place when Interior Minister of Pakistan had just concluded his visit to India for so-called peace talks and cricket series between the two countries is being played.
Demanding review and revision of Govt. of India foreign policy towards Pakistan and taking of the issue of violation of International military norms with the Govt. of Pakistan, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that had the UPA not debated from the firm stand taken by Atal Behari Vajpayee led NDA government, such a situation would not have risen.
