Srinagar-Jammu Highway closed due to fresh snowfall | | Srinagar, January 12 (Scoop News) –Srinagar-Jammu National Highway closed due to fresh snowfall. According to official spokesman that Srinagar-Jammu National Highway was closed in the morning as a precautionary measure for brief period and thereafter reopened after snow was clearance. He said that air traffic was disrupted in the morning due to snowfall and one flight of Go Air was cancelled. Other flights operated and in total 15 flights operated.
Spokesman Said that Gulmarg recorded 4 to 5 inches snow, Baramulla and Spore 2 to 3 inches, Rafiabad 4 to 5 inches, Gurez 12 to 14 inches, Pahalgam, 4 to 5 inches, Lolab 5 to 6 inches. Snow clearance was done by Mechjanicla Engineering Deptt on various roads including Gulmarg-Tangmarg Road, Tangmarg- Narbal road, Drooru, Tangmarg-Babareshi road, Rohama-Khamoh-Panzla road, Panzla-Shalkoot, Panzla-Ladoo roads, Pahalgam Frislan road was also cleared, Kupwara town cleared, Handwara town cleared, Kupwara-Segipora road cleared, Kupwara-Wattergam road Via Handwara cleared, Kupwara-Sogam road cleared upto Vavoora, clearance was under progress from Vavoora to Sogam, Handwara-Vilgam road cleared, Kupwara-Kurhama road cleared upto Kuligam and clearance under progress from Kuligam to Kurhama. ... |
