| ITBP team lifted first Lalit Suri Ice Hockey Challenge Cup 2013 | |  Leh, January 16 (Scoop News) –The ITBP Ice Hockey team lifted the first Lalit Suri Ice Hockey Challenge Cup 2013 by defeating Skara Ice Hockey team by one goal to nil. In the women section, SECMOL Ice Hockey team won the final match by defeating Saichen Angel team by 4 goals to 3 goals at Karzoo Ice Hockey Rink, Leh, official spokesman said.
He said that with an aim to promote winter games in Ladakh, the Lalit Suri Hospitality Group has organized this tournament for the first time in Leh in which 12 Ice Hockey teams of man and 5 teams of women participated.
The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group Chairperson & Managing Director Dr. Jyotsna Suri was the chief guest on the occasion and she gave away trophies and cash awards to the best performers. In her brief speech, Dr. Jyotsna assured that the Lalit Group would extend further support for promotion of winter games in Ladakh keeping in view vast potential of this game in the region.
The Executive Councilor, CAPD, Ghulam Abas Abidi, the Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Leh Tsering Morup, SP, Leh Vivek Gupta, Addl. SP, P Sonam, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tashi Dolma and top ranking Army and civil officers also present on the occasion.
