JK BJP hits out at Congress | | Jammu, January 21(Scoop News) – JK BJP has strong exception to the negative role played by the Congress party both at centre as well as in the state. BJP State President & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma, while talking to party workers and a group of media persons at party hqrs. here today, was highly critical of the objectionable remarks made by Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde against a nationalist party like BJP and a thoroughly patriotic social organizations like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He said that Shinde seems to have lost his mental balance otherwise he would not have been making such irresponsible statements. Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Congress party and Home Minister should be more concerned about several other issues facing the nation instead of making unproven charges of promoting terrorism against BJP and other nationalist organizations. He said that Congress should first address the problems like rampant corruption in which most of its ministers are involved. Price rise and recent hike in petroleum products has broken the backbone of common man and Congress is responsible for it, he added. National Executive Member & MLA Ashok Khajuria, who was also present, blamed the Pradesh Congress Unit of J&K of being hand in glove with Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah in showing discrimination towards Jammu during the recent reshuffle of State Council of Ministers. He said that while most of the ministers from Jammu have been dropped, those who have been retained hold very insignificant portfolio. Ashok Khajuria said that if Congress party which is coalition partner in the Omar-led government is not able to secure for Jammu its due share, then its ministers should immediately resign from Omar cabinet. National Executive Member & Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the statement made by Shinde is highly “unstatesmanly” and such expression or phrase does not behove the Home Minister of India ... |
