| Girls of “Pragash Musical Band” ignorant class : Jama'at | | Srinagar, February 4 (Scoop News) –The Islamic Shari’at strictly prohibits every immodest activity which includes obscene dancing, in particular dancing of women in presence of men. The people who like propagation of immodesty amongst the believers (Muslims) are liable to severe punishment in the world and the hereafter as mentioned in Chapter An-Noor of Al-Quran. A number of Muslims ignorant of Islamic teachings and laws regarding these matters indulge in such activities and thereby become a subject of divine wrath and the cause of disgrace for the Muslim community as a whole,Jamaat-e-Islami J&K said in a statement issued to press.
Zahid Ali,Spokesperson (Jamaat-e-Islami J&K) said in a statement said that the girls and their parents who participated in “Pragash Musical Band” also seem to be amongst this ignorant class but those having the knowledge of Islam owe the duty of making them aware of the real Islam so that they desist from such immoral activities in the future. Islam gives sufficient protection to the status and rights of women according to their nature but never allows them to become sex-tools as it is found in the Western culture. But those persons who knowingly and deliberately arrange these obscene and immodest programs amongst the Muslims in order to promote impudence and sexual promiscuity, are most condemnable and liable to an exemplary punishment before Almighty Allah and as such these elements should be discouraged at all levels. The statement of Omar Abdullah (CM) in support of such activity clearly depicts his total ignorance even about the basic teachings of Islam despite calling himself a Muslim. It would be advisable for him to spend at least one hour in reading (Knowing) Quran if he is interested in leading a life of a Muslim.
Jamaat-e-Islami J&K in a statement appeals all conscious Muslims to come forward and start an awareness campaign amongst the common masses about the real teachings of Islam regarding the subject so that not only Muslims but even the non-Muslim brethren do acknowledge the purity of Islamic injunctions about the human social behavior.
Statement said that Islamic Scholars and Intellectuals do have a responsibility in this regard for which they are accountable before Allah if they show any laxity. Jamaat-e-Islami also sincerely appeals the non-Muslims social reformers and scholars to identify the causes of current debauchery and seek the effective preventive measures for it and also study the Islamic teachings on the subject without any bias.
