| Spiritual Music Therapy Guru condemns fatwa against “Pragash Musical Band” | |  Jammu, February 4 (Scoop News) –Renowed Musician , Chairperson Swarangan Meditation & Spiritual Music Therapy Guru Raj Kumar Dogra has condemned the fatwa against Kashmir’s music band girls by Grand Mufti Bashir ud din Ahmed and threats from Hurriyat to remain away from music.
Addressing a press conference at Jammu on Monday, Raj Kumar Dogra said that their views about music are totally false. By saying that “ music has no role in development and progress of the society, Grand Mufti and Hurriyat leaders have displayed disrespect and proved that they have no knowledge about the impact and importance of music in bringing people together and even curing so many ailments besides removing social evils.
Raj Kumar Dogra, who has proved the deep impact of music even at international level through his live presentations, lectures, workshops and seminars, said that music and art are the means of bringing peace and inducing positive thinking among the people across the globe. The youth in particular, sheds addiction and other evils if he adopts the essence of music, he added.
Raj Kumar Dogra said that no religion, including Islam, has never preached wrong about music but people like Grand Mufti and others are distorting the facts as they do not want peace and participation of youth in taking active part in all such activities which teach them respect and love for all.
Dogra also appreciated the views of State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and said that people who are in habit of poking their nose in everything without having the basic concept. He said the music has no religion or boundary. The music creates the sense of love, brotherhood and unity among different sections of the society and this does not suit to some ill minded people, which is indeed very unfortunate. Such elements should be booked and punished for their misinformation campaign.
