The letter further said that the pasture lands are currently under a thick layer of snow coupled with acute shortage of feed and fodder and as per the report of the SDM, Nyoma, mortality of goats and sheep have already gone upto 5500 after the heavy snowfall and the number of mortality of livestock continuously increasing with every passing day due to starvation.
