J&K has centuries old composite culture: Khujeria

Jammu, February 18 (Scoop News) – BJP Legislature Party leader and Jammu east MLA Ashok khajuria while remembering the life of Swami Vivekanand ji in “surya Namaskar” programme organised by Swami Vivekanand Shardh Sati Smaroh Samiti to celebrate his 150th birth anniversary in Jammu on Monday morning said that the state of Jammu and Kashmir has the centuries old composite culture and communal harmony but a handful of politicians from Kashmir, who are more close to separatists, are making all out efforts to create problems in this land of saints and sufis. He said that the people are more informed now and are well aware of the nefarious designs of anti-national elements who are working day and night to create communal tensions.

He said that the present day situation in our state demands that the ideology and principles of respect for all religions and communities as put forth by Swami Vivekanand should be adopted to come out of the turmoil and bring peace, prosperity and strengthening social fabric.
Ashok khajuria, who was the chief guest on the occasion, performed “Surya Namaskar” alongwith dozens of prominent social activists, said that the life of Swami Vivekanand was an institution in himself. This great Indian saint travelled widely to preach the message of universal brotherhood, respect for all and hatred for none.

Khajuria said that Swamiji’s saying that “ service of poor is the service of God” itself speaks that the service of humanity is like worshipping God.

Khajuria reminded these politicians of the fate of Afghanistan, where 5 thousand years old statues of Lord Buddha were dashed to ground by guns in Bamyan province by fundamentalists just to hurt the sentiments of a particular faith. He said that in Jammu and Kashmir too the government is sitting silence on the safety and preservation of Hindu temples and Shrines. Even the bills brought in the assembly for the same have not been taken seriously, which speaks of the mindset of coalition towards the religious sentiments of the Hindus.

Ashok Khajuria advised the people to encourage their young generation to go through the life of Swami Vivekanand ji and adopt his philosophy for a successful life.
Amar Chand Gupta, Master ram Lal, Jaidevji, Pardeep ji, Sat Pal ji, Sunil Sharma, Yudhvir Sethi, Anil Masoom were prominent among those who took part in this “Surya Namaskar” programme.
