NPSU to gherao Assembly on February 28
Demand revoking of job SRO, teaching Dogra history
Jammu, February 26 (Scoop News) - An emergency meeting of the NPSU Executive was held in Jammu in the presence of representatives of the Jammu University and all other educational institutions under the Charimanship of Shri Pratap Singh Jamwal its State President.
The NPSU in its resolution has given call to all the students and student organizations in Jammu Pradesh to join the Assembly gherao protest on 28th February, 2013 reminding the dynastic rule government its utter failures and discrimination with the students and youth at different levels.
Resolution demanded bringing Central University on rail at par with Kashmir University so that the students of Jammu can also take benefit of the university.
Filling all 40,000 (nearly) vacant posts in different departments of the government without any favour or discrimination by March this year.
Demanded free education from the school to the university level as it was done in 1953 by the State government headed by Bakshi Gulam Mohd.
Inclusion of the Dogra history and its role in strengthening the bonds of national integration as well as contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh in the fields of law and development.
Demanded immediate scrapping of the SRO relating to fresh recruitment in the state so that the fresh employees shall get their full salary and entitlement.
Regularization of all SPOs, contractual lecturers, doctors, engineers and all.
Demanded upgrading Jammu University at par with the Central Universities in India.
The NPSU declared that it shall make peaceful protest on 28th February, 2013 with a hope and trust that the legislators shall also join them in the gherao of the Assembly.
