Militants kill 2 Policemen in Kashmir | | Srinagar, March 02 (Scoop News) – Militants fired at police men who were discharging their duties in Handwara in North Kashmir at Bus Stand at 11.10 hours Saturday morning,Police said.
Police spokesman said that two policemen, constable Santosh Singh and constable Azad Chand got injured in Militants firing .They were shifted to hospital where they were declared dead.
Police said Constable Santosh Singh son of Tara Singh resident of Katiyal Kathua No. 285/AP 13th Bn. was of 26 years of age and was attached with IRP 16th Bn. presently. Constable Azad Chand son of Purab Chand resident of Ghangwalt, Chenani District Udhampur, Belt No. 199/AP 13th Bn. was of 27 years of age and was also attached IRP 16th Bn. presently. Both of them had joined police in 2009.
Meanwhile Police has taken cognizance of an incident of disrespect at Ziyarat Nizam-ud-Din at Delina, Baramulla. The senior officers of the area are monitoring the situation. ... |
