| SMVDSB pays tributes to Haji Gulam Mohd | | 
Katra/Jammu, March 2 (Scoop News) -To pay rich tributes to the renowned folk singer of the state Late Haji Gulam Mohd Dansalia, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board organized a function in the Auditorium of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra here today
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board(SMVDSB) has taken an initiative to preserve the local folk music of Jammu region especially the bhaints of Maa Vaishno Devi Ji
The function was presided by the Former Deputy Director General of All India Radio along with Smt. Savita Bakshi Secretary Cultural Academy, K. K. Joshi, Sh. Ravi Magotra Program Head Radio Kashmir Jammu, Dr. Sohan Lal Koul Program Executive Doordarshan Kendra Jammu, Sh. M. L. Dogra Chairman Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, Sh. Sudarshan Kumar CEO KDA Katra.
The career journey video prepared by the Doordarshan Jammu was screened in the Auditorium of Spiritual Growth Centre in order to pay rich tribute to Haji Gulam Mohd Dansalia. The audio and video of folk songs especially bhaints of Haji Gulam Mohd Dansalia was also displayed in the Auditorium of Spiritual Growth Centre Katra in order to select the best bhaints so that the same could be recorded and preserved by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Academy of Art Culture and Languages organised concerts of bhaints of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji presented by the party members of Late Haji Gulam Mohd Dansalia and Garu Ram & Party, Amarnath & Amandeep folk musicians of Spiritual Growth Centre also presented bhaints on the occasion .
The officers of Deputy CEO, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Rahul Sharma, Director, Spiritual Growth Center, S. M. Sahni, CAO, Rohit Khajuria and staff of Spiritual Growth Centre attended the programme.
