BJP strongly reacts to killing of IRP cops | | Jammu, March 4 (Scoop News) - BJP has expressed grief and strongly reacted by condemning the militant attack in Handwara town in Kashmir valley resulting in the killing of IRP Ct. Santosh Singh from District Kathua and IRP Ct. Azad Chand from Distt. Udhampur who succumbed to bullets fired at them at point blank range. In a statement, BJP State President & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma said that these killings of unarmed police personnel are a result of the appeasement policy and anti-national approach adopted by the NC-led government particularly after the hanging of Afzal Guru. Meanwhile, BJP State Chief Spokesperson & National Executive Member Dr. Jitendra Singh informed that the party’s political resolution presented by BJP National Chief Spokesperson & Deputy Leader Rajya Sabha, Ravi Shankar Prasad at the party's National Executive Meeting at New Delhi on Friday and finally adopted at the party's National Council meeting today has clearly outlined the BJP's position on the issue of Afzal Guru and taken strong exception to the government’s deplorable response to the hanging of Afzal Guru. An amendment to this resolution proposed by Dr. Jitendra Singh at the national executive meet accused the Congress party of being involved in a “conspiracy of silence” with National Conference on the Afzal Guru issue. ... |
