Ukhral receiving station coming up soon: Vikar
Jammu, March 7 (Scoop News) - Minister of State for Technical Education, Power and Information, Vikar Rasool has said that the receiving station at Ukhral, Banihal will be taken up shortly.
The Minister was interacting with deputations of several Panchayats of Banihal area like Dardehi, Shagan, Paristan, Ashar, Zehala, etc. The deputation was led by Farooq Ahmed Katoch.
The deputation of Ziahala demanded that the Water Supply Scheme of the area be completed and the area be provided with a dispensary and high school. The deputation also demanded that the areas be provided with adequate electricity, transmission lines, poles and other allied equipment.
The Minister assured the deputation that he would take up the issues with the concerned and announced that Dardhia-Nowgam, Parkar, Upper Saroacha will be provided adequate electric power and Tarigam area would be provided solar lights.
Vikar later called on the Minister for Roads and Building Abdul Majjid Wani and projected the demands of the deputations for connecting various areas of Banihal Constituency with network of roads under PMGSY.
Vikar asked for taking up Magarkote-Ahama, Dardahi, Manjoos, Paristan roads under PMGSY and upgradation of Sanapati road. He also called for undertaking the work as early as possible on the Shagun road already sanctioned under PMGSY.
Wani directed Chief Engineer PMGSY to prepare detailed project reports for taking up these roads as early as possible and starting the work on the roads already sanctioned under the scheme.
