RKSP assail Kashmir leaders for politicizing the hanging of Guru
Jammu, March 7 (Scoop News) -Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party (RKSP) has assailed the Kashmir centric political parties, the ruling National Conference and the PDP for politicizing the hanging of parliament attack convict Afsal Guru and handing over of his body to his family, for burial in Srinagar. In their game of one upmanship, running the race to project themselves to be on the right side of the Kashmiri separatists, they have created chaotic situation in the valley, threatening tourism inflow, the season for which starts next month as well as creating conditions for placing hurdles in the smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra.
Addressing a media conference here today, the President RKSP, Tanveer Hussain Bapzada said that the bumper tourism and Amarnath pilgrimage in the last year had provided succor to the people at large, with all sections of the people deriving economic benefit out of the same, after 3 years continuous unrest in the valley, which had resulted in heavy loss to the economy. But the elements inimical to peace and prosperity among the people are again playing the old game to revive unrest in the valley, which is detrimental to the progress, development and economic interest of the people at large.
Mr Bapzada further criticized continuous pandemonium and ruckus created in the state assembly over the issue of Afsal Guru hanging, resulting into the discussion on the burning problems facing the people at large in the state being put into cold storage. These machinations of these so called mainstream parties is also creating a deep wedge between Jammu region and Kashmir valley, with the legislators from two regions taking divergent stands on the issue.
Mr Bapzada has appealed to the legislators of all parties to raise issues concerning the common people, particularly those inhabiting far flung areas. Taking a dig at the MLA Inderwl, GM Sarori, Bapzada said that over one thousand BPL families in Chhatroo area have been secretly brought into APL category, thus depriving them of the benefit of cheap ration supply and other benefits. But the MLA has not taken any notice of the same and has failed to raise this issue either in the assembly or with the concerned authorities. He added that it was intriguing that MLA Saroori addressing the people at Sigdi village in Chhatroo had told the blissfully the ignorant people that while they would not be issued ration cards, but they will continue to get supply of ration. This is puzzling and intriguing.
Mr Bapzada also took dig at rural development minister Ali Mohammad Sagar for making tall claims of providing jobs to the rural unemployed under NREGA, while the facts are quite contrary to his claims. He said that ministers and MLAs should visit the far flung areas and take feed back from the common man there, instead of relying on the exaggerated figures provided by the government officials.
Mr Bapzada further assailed continuous discrimination against and neglect of Jammu region, with problems faced by the people in far flung areas of the province not been highlighted and addressed to by the concerned authorities.
Condemning the killing of two IRP jawans in a Hindwara recently, Mr Bapzada lauded the role of J&K Police, whose personal are making supreme sacrifices in protecting the lives of peace loving people and also safeguarding their property. He demanded that the state government should acknowledge the services and role of the police and also take up with the Central government to accord special recognition and institute awards and honors for them. In this regard he drew the special attention of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and MOS for home affairs Ejaz Ahmed Kichloo. He regretted that the martyrdom of these police personal, in discharge of their duty, has not been highlighted, while crocodile tears are being shed over hanging of parliament attack Afsal Guru.
Mr Bapzada also condemned the continuous killings of Panches and Sarpanches by the militants and the government’s failure to provide them the security as well as empowering them fully. These pillars of basic democracy at grass route level are being a lot to be eliminated by the apathetic government.

The others who were present in the conference included Madhu Sudan Bhat State General Secretary, Ghulam Qadir Deing Vice President, Sanjay Bhat District Jammu Youth President and Yogita Mattoo District Jammu President Woman wing.
