Benia lifts Shiv Khori Kesari title 2013 | | RANSOO(REASI),Jammu, March 12 (Scoop News) - Wrestler Benia of J&K Police of Basantgarh Patha, Mohd Sadiq Pahalwan lifted “15th Shiv Khori Kesari title 2013” by defeating Wrestler Parveen of Ladopur, Akhara Haryana in a neck to neck contest that lasted at Ransoo, the base camp of Shiv Khori Shrine Board in Pouni Block of Reasi District last evening. As a part of famous and historic Shiv Khori Mela, Vishal Dangal was organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with J&K Tourism Department, Ransoo Dangal Committee and District Administration, Reasi under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma. Tehsildar (S), Reasi, R.K Anand ( Mela officer) was the chief guest on the occasion. President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association who is also member J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma Presided over the function. Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India Shiv Kumar Sharma and President Ransoo Dangal Committee Kewal Krishan gave Rs 13,000/- cash prize money to wrestler Benia winner of 1st malli in addition to “Silver Gurj (Gadda) and Patta”besides Rs 12,000/- given to runner up Wrestler Parveen by Sarpanch Paul Chand and Sarpanch Shamsher Singh. President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association thanked the Minister of Tourism, Deputy Commissioner Reasi and Deputy Director Tourism for their support to the indigenous game of Wrestling. In all 34 bouts were played in the Vishal Dangal. Suraj of Goal Bagh Stadium Amritsar won the 2nd main bout by defeated Kulbir Singh of Kot Bhalwal Jammu while Kulbir Singh of Kot Bhalwal Jammu remained the winner of 3rd main bout. 4Th bout was won by Chottu who defeated Hoshier Singh of Mahore. In other bouts Arjun of Jammu beat Rohit of Amritsar, Kala of Pahtankote beat Soffi of Domana and Surjeet Singh of Kalakote beat Baba of Domana. Among others, DSP, CRFF, Rajinder Singh, Retd Lecturer Mubarik Singh, Sarpanches and Panches were also present in the occasion. ... |
