JK BJP Chief asks Governor to dissolve State Assembly

Jammu, March 21 (Scoop News) –BJP JK State President & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma on Thursday asked the state Governor to recommend the dissolution of the state assembly.

Jugal Kishore while addressing a press conferencein Jammu. alongwith the Leader of the Legislature Party Ashok Khajuria, Sukhnandan Kumar (MLA) and Sham Choudhary (MLA), challenged the state government to dismiss him from the membership of the assembly adding that even such a decision will not stop him from raising issues of discrimination, development and action against anti-national elements.
He said that that NC-Congress coalition government has failed on all fronts and is making repeated attempts to escape the public wrath in the current session of the assembly. He said that the Omar Abdullah government has no justification in replies to the questions raised regarding discrimination with Jammu and developmental activities. Whosoever, raises these issues is thrown out of the house by Marshals while those raising anti-national slogans and expressing sympathies with terrorist like Afzal Guru are paid due attention and even their adjournment motions were accepted.

BJP Chief alleged that the discrimination with Jammu still continues despite misleading claims of ministers hailing from Jammu. Allocation of Rs. 351 crore for fly-overs in Srinagar and just 95 crore for Jammu themselves speak of the discriminatory attitude towards Jammu in developmental projects. Recruiting 2700 people from Kashmir under special recruitment drive and merely 500 from entire Jammu province too indicate the height of discrimination with Jammu. He appealed the state Governor to present the real picture of affairs in the state and recommend dissolution of the state assembly.

Ashok Khajuria said that the NC-Congress coalition is creating hoax among the masses as it has totally failed to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the state. It seems that there is a race between two Kashmir-centric political parties NC and PDP to prove who among them is more loyal and concerned for separatist and anti-national dispensations.

He said that the people have been deprived of even basic rights while those talking of Pakistan and Afzal Guru are treated as VIPs. It is now clear that the present government is security risk and better it goes without wasting even a moment.
MLA Sukhnandan Kumar expressed displeasure over discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh in granting funds for development of tourist spots like Surinsar, Mansar, Sanasar, Bhaderwah, Bani, Basohli, Kargil and Leh alleging that hundreds of crores of rupees receive from the centre are being dumped into Dal Lake and the lake still feels hungry of funds.
MLA Sham Choudhary said that the current session has nothing for the farmers. There is no one from the government to attend to the problems like lack of seeds, fertilizer, water for irrigation and setting up of procurement centres. The whole time is being wasted on discussing the issues which are against the unity and integrity of the country.
