Mehbooba calls for severe punishment to imposter arrested in Budgam
Srinagar, May 24 (Scoop News) –Calling for a severe punishment to recently arrested imposter, who exploited poor and innocent girls and mislead people in general, president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti said such people are serious threat to the society. In a statement issued here today, she called for probing all such shabby characters and also investigating their sources of funding.
Ms Mufti said that the thug in Budgam, who allegedly ran a huge institution and exploit the gullible people, should be shown no leniency. She said that such people not only indulge in breach of faith but also bring a bad name to the religion and genuine religious institutions.
She said that it is a time to aware the society against such anti social elements, who through their shameful acts, have brought in a new kind of insecurity, which was unknown so far to Kashmir.
She said the state and the private charitable institutions should join hands to provide social security to vulnerable section of the society especially the orphans, widows and destitutes.
She assured that her party would prepare a roadmap for a sustain social security system to safe guard interests of the weaker sections of the society.
Ms Mufti said the government must ensure that no further scandal take place at the cost of innocent girls and women. She further said that severe punishment should be given to anyone found guilt of committing such crimes.
