5 years old girl killed, 4 Injured in road mishaps
Body of a lady recovered in Sumbal




Srinagar, June 4 (Scoop News) –A 5 years old girl was killed and four others including a minor were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley.
A Mini bus of Arshid Memorial High School, Bulbul Nowgam, Anantnag, bearing registration number JK03B/3350 hit a girl Lubna Jan, age about 5 years, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Mir resident of Bulbul Nowgam at Bulbul Nowgam, in the jurisdiction of police station Anantnag, resulting in her on spot death. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Truck bearing registration number JK04A/4761 skidded off the road and turned turtle on road side near SEE Check Post, Kulgam, in the jurisdiction of police station Qazigund, resulting in injuries to driver Rakesh Kumarson of Shankar Dass resident of Udhampur. The injured was shifted to Qazigund Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
An unidentified vehicle hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01C/5393 near Bilal colony, KP Road, Anantnag, in the jurisdiction of police station Mattan, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Mudasir Ahmad Peer, son of Irshad Ahmad resident of Pehru Mattan. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Maruti Car bearing registration number JK09/0559 hit and injured a girl Fatima daughter of Ghulam Nabi Reshi and a baby Mehak Javid daughter of Javid Ahmad Reshi residents of Palpora. The injured were shifted to JVC Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.


Walnut tree fell on electric transformer in Srinagar


During the intervening night of 02/03.06.2013, due to heavy windstorm a walnut tree in the compound of Ghulam Nabi Najar resident of Dawood Colony, Anchar Soura, Srinagar fell upon an 250 KV electric transformer located at Grave Yard in front of the residential house, resulting in damage to the electric transformer, HT wire and poles. However, no was hurt in the incident.


Body of a lady recovered in Sumbal

: Sumbal police recovered the body of Saima wife of Shabir Ahmad Rather resident of Nowgam, Sumbal, Bandipora, in suspicious condition.
After completing all legal formalities the body handed over her relatives for last rites. Police has initiated an inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.


House damaged, 1 injured in a fire incident

Fire broke out in the residential house of Abdul Khaliq Bhat son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Sheikh Mohalla, Safapora, Ganderbal, resulting in partial damage to house and minor injuries to Nisar Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Sultan resident of Sheikh Mohalla, Ganderbal. The injured was shifted to Public Health Centre Safapora for treatment.



Non-local consumes poison in Srinagar

A non local laborer, Raju son of Imran Mian resident of Seharwa Gopal, Gunj Bihar, consumed some poisonous substance at his rented room at Chanapora, Srinagar. He was admitted in SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, where he expired.
Police has started an inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
