| 911 recruits pass out from Police Training School Manigam Kashmir | | Uphold sanctity of uniform by better public service: Gupta to recruits |  Srinagar,July 6 (Scoop News)-The Additional Director General of Police (Coordination), P. L. Gupta, while congratulating the pass-outs, advised them to imbibe nobler values of life while discharging their obligations. He affirmed that the recruits must uphold the sanctity of Law and in keeping with traditions of Police Organization.
Gupta, was addressing pass outs of 11th batch of 911 recruits at Police Training School, Manigam on the culmination of their basic training course, this morning. He welcomed the strong batch of recruits to the Jammu and Kashmir Police family.
The ADGP stressed upon the pass-outs to work with discipline, dedication and with due regard to the expectations of the people and the police organization. He said that Honesty, Integrity and Impartiality should be the key ingredients for the cops to develop and improvise work culture in J&K Police and to make it as a model Police organization. He also emphasized on the aspects of Accountability, Respect towards law and command of superiors in their daily performance which would help them deliver effectively and maintain public faith.
Describing the significance of training in every uniformed force, Gupta said that it lays strong foundation for a successful career in meeting challenges of society as every citizen in a difficult situation, looks upon a man in khaki with a sense of relief and belonging; so, we must be sensitive to the needs and expectations of common man by demonstrating our ability and propensity to assist them with a sense of belonging.
Earlier, Mr P.L Gupta was presented with an impressive General Salute in the Passing-out-Parade. The all round best recruit constable Rizwan-ul-Zaman was granted one rank promotion as SG Constable with Commendation Certificate. Constables Mohammad Jamal, Anil Verma, Shabir Ahmed and Mohammad Hussain were also awarded with Special Commendation Certificates and cash rewards for their excellent performance during the training course.
On the occasion, the Principal of the Training School, Bakar Samoon, administered the oath to the recruits and apprised the Chief Guest about the activities undertaken by the institution to transform the recruits into competent and professional policemen. He said that during the training course special thrust was given to ingrain spirit of public service, respect towards human rights and loyalty towards law among the recruits. He said that field duties performed by the recruits during the training had helped to instil a sense of patience and skill of maintaining peace by using minimum force. He also disclosed that among the 911 recruits, 42 were post-graduates, 259 graduates and 396 were undergraduates; the recruits belonged to Executive Police as also IRP/Armed Police.
Besides a large number of prominent citizens and parents of the trainees, the function was attended by ADGP (Security), VK Singh, IsGP, Dr. B Srinivas, AK Choudhary, HK Lohia, SJM Gillani, AG Mir, Dr. KK Saini and SS Khandare, DIsGP, AS Bali, Mubarak Ganai, ND Wani, AK Atri and S Ahfadul Mujtaba, AIG (Personnel) GH Bhat, SSP (Security), Rafiq-ul-Hassan, SP Trainings (PHQ), BA Shah, Principals of Police Training Institutions, Commandants of Armed/IRP Battalions, local army officers and other police and civil officers.
