| PDP condoles death of Ms Mehmooda Ahmad Ali Shah | | Srinagar, Jammu, March 11, (Scoop News)-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condoled the death of Ms Mehmooda Ahmad Ali Shah, a poineer in womens’ education in Jammu & Kashmir.
Expressing grief over the death of vetran educationist and social woker, the party Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and president Mehbooba Mufti , in a statement, said the services of Ms Mehmooda in the field of education are unparralled.
Ms Mehmooda, the leaders said, had dedicated her life to the cause of womens’ education and had played a pivotal role in creating an awakening among the women about the importance of their education. The leaders said her efforts were in a substantiated measure responsible for the empowerment of women in the state as she herself was a model of independence of the women folk. “She will be remembered for long not just by her friends, admirers, colleagues and students, but by generations to come she will remain an inspiration” .
Others who condole the death of Ms Mehmooda include, Former deputy Chief Minister and Senior party leader, Muzaffar Hussain Baig; Senior party leader , Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari; former Finance Minister, Tariq Hameed Karra; Deputy Speaker of the legislative Assembly, Mohammad Sartaj Madni; Chief Spokesperson of the party, Naeem Akhtar and others.
