Jammu,April 16, (Scoop News)- JKDF State President and Candidate for Doda-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency, Anil Gupta have strongly condemned the action of Returning Officer (Deputy Commissioner, Kathua), In which he used force to disperse the polling agents of JKDF who were taking part in inhouse training session organised by JKDF for the polling of 17th March 2014 for Udhampur Constituency.

In a press Conference Anil Gupta Said, Our polling agents were taking part in close door training session and are being imparting training for the smooth conduct of polling to be held for Udhampur Constituency on 17th March 2014. The same is permissible under election commission rules. But Returning Officer (Deputy Commissioner, Kathua) with malafide intention used forced to disperse our people and humiliated them by frisking everyone present there as if they are terrorists.

He added, Returning Officer abused him and threatened him of dire consequences. He alleged that Returning officer by misuding his power and office have acted on the instruction of NC-Congress Coalition to tarnish the image of JKDF to give the undue advantage to ruling coalition candidate ahead of the polls for the Constituency.

JKDF take strong note of this incident and shall lodge a formal complaint in this regard with election Commission. JKDF shall not be bowed by such shameful tactics, and our resolve to fight against the injustice and unfairness shall get stronger with every passing day to defeat the unscrupulous elements.
