| Bhat seeks votes for strengthening J&K’s secular | | democratic fabric |
Jammu, April 23 (Scoop News)-Senior National Conference leader and former MLC Bushan Lal Bhat has called for united effort to reject the negative forces who were hell bent to vitiate the atmosphere for their political interests.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir have always opposed the divisive politics and will do so all times to come”, he said during door to door campaign in several migrant habitations.
He along with senior leaders of the NC Minority Cell including President of its Youth Wing Mr Jatin Bhat lauded the political sagacity of the people and hoped that they will take a right decision which will further strengthen the democratic fabric of the state.
Mr Bhat rejected divisive politics of PDP and BJP, saying their opportunistic tie-up stands exposed before the people. He said the ongoing elections have unfolded their unholy nexus which is only aimed at grabbing the power by hook and crook.
He made a fervent appeal to the voters to vote for strengthen democracy and secularism that faces challenge from elements inimical to inclusiveness of this great nation.
Mr Bhat highlighted developmental initiatives taken by the government to upgrade infrastructural facilities and ensure basic minimum necessitates in the migrant camps while saying that the government is seized of the difficulties faced by them. “These are being mitigated with the concerted efforts of the agencies concerned”, he added.
