Market checking conduct in Khansahab, Chadura, Beerwah and Magam
Budgam, July 28, (Scoop News)-On the instructions of District Development Commissioner, Budgam, market checking were intensified throughout the markets of the district in the wake of approaching Eid ul Fitr.
Within the Municipal limits of Khansahab town, a team comprising of Tehsildar Khansahab, SHO concerned and food safety officer realized a fine of Rs. 2900 from shopkeepers for selling sub-standard eatables and edible packed foods. The sub standard edibles were destroyed on-the-spot.
Tehsildar, Beerwah held similar market inspections throughout main market of Beerwah and Magam and realized Rs 7400 as fine. Whereas 2.5 quintals of rotten vegetables, 5kgs milk, 30kgs adulterated spices and 40kgs polyethene bags were seized and destroyed on-the-spot.
Meanwhile market checking was also conducted in Khansahib and a fine of Rs.5200 was recovered. 100kgs of rotten vegetables and 30kgs expired oil was also destroyed.
