RSS, VHP communalising atmosphere in Jammu: Nizami
BJP adding fuel to fire

Jammu, July 31, (Scoop News)- Lashing out on right wing Hindu groups including Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), VHP, Shiv Sena and RSS, the Joint Secretary of PCC Salman Nizami on Thursday said that the communal tensions erupted in Jammu region were orchestrated by these parties to gain the cheap political mileage.

He said these parties backed by the BJP often resort to communal agenda to divide people when the elections are round the corner. “In 2008, the BJP led Hindu groups set the communal fire across the region and managed to secure some seats.

They remained silent for all the six years after that and when the elections are again approaching they create tensions again within the communities,” he said in a statement issued here.

Urging people to reject the political parties which believe in communal politics, Nizami said that these parties will again try to engulf the whole region in the communal fire ahead of Assembly elections.

“People know these parties have no vision to gain the trust of common people. They fail to address the aspirations and demands of people in power. But during the elections times they resort to the cheap tactics of inciting people against each other on the basis of religion and region which Congress strongly castigates,” he said. He said ahead of parliamentary elections in May this year, the BJP led right wing people made the similar attempts in Chenab valley and created the communal tensions between Hindus and Muslims to secure the vote bank.
