| Spalbar stresses for need of timely distribution of essential commodities | | 
Leh, December 08, (Scoop News)-In view of approaching festivity season including Losar (New Year), Christmas and New Year celebration LAHDC CEC Rigzin Spalbar holds a meeting with all stakeholders which includes Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA), Ladakh Gonpa Association, Merchant Association and HoDs. Chairing the meeting Spalbar sought detail information regarding stocking of essential commodities in the region which includes butter, oil, Rice, flour, sugar, K.oil, vegetables, mutton, eggs from every stakeholder to assess the ongoing preparation. Stressing for need of timely distribution of essential commodities to public to avoid last minute rush letting to black marketing CEC Rigzin directed EC Shafi Lassu to supervise concerned department personally.
To control black marketing, CEC directed AD CAPD to make minimum three surprises checking of Leh market in a month and report him accordingly and regarding timely distribution of K.Oil and other essential commodities, CEC said that every family should get their entitled quota of ration without any problem and directed AD CAPD to clarify confusion among public about allotted quota of K. Oil in a year and made it public through media.
EC directed engineers of NHPC and PDD to ensure round the clock electricity during Losar festival coordinating each other for smooth electricity supply especially during Losar.
The Dy. Registrar Cooperative, Sonam Norbo informed the meeting that their outlets in different locations of Leh market will provide essential commodities on special discount well before staring of the Losar festival.
Regarding availability of Juniper ( Shukpa) during Losar festival, CEC directed DFO, Leh to ensure required supply of Shukpa in Leh market. To ensure cleanliness in Leh market during Losar festival, Spalbar directed Municipality Department to do their part of He also requested LBA to aware general public especially youths in collaboration with Police department to celebrate coming Losar as per their culture by maintaining discipline.
