Mirwaiz offers prayers in absentia for students killed in Peshawar army school attack | | Srinagar, December 17, (Scoop News)-APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has described the killing of 142 people including 135 children by terrorists in Peshawar as barbaric, atrocious, inhuman and completely against the teachings of Islam.
Addressing a gathering at the historic Jamia Masjid on Wednesday before leading the funeral prayers in absentia for the massacred children, Mirwaiz expressed his solidarity and sympathy with the families who lost their dear ones to the terrorist attack.
Terming the attack on innocent children in Peshawar as an act of cowardice, he said, "there was no room for terrorism in Islam".
APHC leader said Peshawar army school attackers have no place in Islam and those savages who committed this crime cannot call themselves Muslims.
"The killing of innocent children is the worst form of terrorism.There can be no justification for this gruesome crime", he said.
Asserting that Kashmiris were sharing the grief and pain of Pakistanis in these difficult times, Mirwaiz said on behalf of Kashmiri people he offers his heartfelt condolences to the families of the diseased.
A number of Ulema and hurriyat members including Moulana Ahmad Syed Naqashbandi, Mufti Ghulam Rasool and others participated in the in absentia prayers.
Large number of people also participated in the prayers and strongly denounced the terror attack on children. ... |
