| Development Blocks in Akhnoor Kandi and Hilly areas: Sham | | claimed ushered new era of prosperity |  Jammu, December 18, (Scoop News)-Addressing hundreds of Congress activists and local youths to intensified his election campaign, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma, Sr. Congress leader and Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control claimed during his 12 years being Akhnoor MLA, Kandi and Pahari areas upliftment and development remained utmost priority. He stated Development Blocks at Chowki Choura, Mandrian and Bhalwal Brahmana was his landmark achievement since prior to it only one Block at Akhnoor catered the vast Akhnoor Constituency.
Mr. Sharma stated for economic transformation of the Akhnoor rural areas and their villagers added new three Block will get more funds for their development and all benefits of the sponsored schemes including financial assistance to Below Poverty Line families. He said Sub District status to Chowki Choura, Tehsil at Mandrian and Niabat at Bhalwal to provide good governance in the time to come to deliver desired results.
Mr. Sharma said his agenda of development and performances to seek votes of these areas on merit but not like others who probably know the topography of these areas, he cautioned people not to trust such false promises to allow any negative mind set to damage the tempo of accelerated all round development in their villages.
His agenda for generating more avenues of employment for educated youths of Akhnoor will be top priority as during 12 years provide higher education in Akhnoor, one Degree College, one Ayurvedic College and Nursing Training School, dozens of Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools were opened. He reiterated agro based industries shall be open in Akhnoor to provide employment and Corporate Sector, Counseling Centres to be set up in constituency for providing bright employment opportunities to local youths.
Mr. Sharma said,” His vision of Akhnoor as Tourist Spot”, to be fulfill in next six years as development of river Chenab Ghats, build Tourist Reception Centre, Bridges on Chenab to connect Akhnoor from all sides, road connectivity, better civic amenities, Health Services all were aimed at to made Akhnoor Constituency as one the Model Constituency in the State.
Replying to query, Mr. Sham Sharma alleged BJP has cheated Jammu Hindus minorities, all bent upon to divide Hindus while supporting Kashmiri Pandits demand for minorities status to deny Jammu its long due benefits. He reaffirmed his belief and faith in Jammu people appealed them to defeat BJP-Betrayer of Jammu cause.
He undertake to struggle for Jammu and seek Akhnoor virtues people whole hearted popular mandate to continuously fight for their prosperous future has emphasized, ”Akhnoor will be the fountain of Jammu’s wisdom and sole of ray of hope for upholding his vision of Greater Jammu”,-only bridge between India and Kashmir.
