| Police arrests a rape accused Bashir Dar | |
Srinagar, December 18, (Scoop News)- Court had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against a rape accused Bashir Ahmad Dar son of Sonaullah Dar resident of Bumhama in case FIR no. 367/2007 under section 376/RPC.
The accused is an ex- militant.A police party of Kupwara police headed by a Head Constable was deputed to implement the court orders and arrest the accused. Police traced the accused hiding in a house at Kawari. When the police party reached the house the accused lobbed a grenade on them, resulting in injury to a Constable.
However, the police party showed bravery and were able to overpower the accused and arrest him. The injured constable was shifted to hospital for treatment.
