| BJPACC celebrates Basant Panchami | |
Jammu, January 24, (Scoop News)-Bharatiya Janata Party Art & Culture Cell under its State convenor Pt. Vipin Shastri celebrated the festival of Basant Panchami in Link Road area of Jammu city in the premises Peepalwala mandir with scores of children belonging to weaker section of the society.
The office bearers of the cells distributed sweets and stationary items among these needy children and spent few hours with them while performing Saraswati Vandana besides performing pooja for a better and prosperous future of these children.
Pt. Vipin Shastri, while speaking on the significance of this widely celebrated festival, said that it represents the decline of winters and the onset of pleasant season of spring. This day is also celebrated as beginning of literacy and performing religious rituals to achieve success in education and other fields.
Shastri expressed hope that Basant Panchami will bring joy and prosperity in the lives of the people and write a new direction and chapter by ending darkness.
BJPACC office bearers includes Sham Lal, Arun Kumar, Vijay Verma, Vikas Verma, Sanjeev Gupta, Amit Gupta and others were also present on the occasion.
