JK Governor, CM, Ministers & others extend Holi greetings

Jammu, March 04, (Scoop News)-JK Governor N. N. Vohra, Chief Minster Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and council of Ministers have greeted people on the eve of Holi, the festival of colors.

N. N. Vohra, Governor, has greeted the people on Holi and hoped that the festival of colours would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his message of felicitations, the Governor observed that the celebration of festivals, an important part of our rich cultural heritage, strengthens the bonds of brotherhood, love and amity. He expressed the hope that this Festival would spread happiness and joy all around and further promote harmony and brotherhood.
Wishing a happy Holi to the people, the Governor prayed for their well-being and prosperity.


Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Holi.
In a felicitation message, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the festival of colours brings peace, prosperity and strengthens our bonds of communal harmony and love for each other.


Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh has felicitated people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Holi.
Extending wishes to the people, the Deputy Chief Minister hoped that the festival of colours would be harbinger of peace, prosperity and progress for the state.
He said the festival is an integral part of the composite culture and heritage of state and would further strengthen the bonds of unity and brotherhood among the society.













The Council of Ministers have extended felicitations to the people on the occasion of “Holi”, festival of colours.
The Ministers included, Minister for Horticulture and Haj & Auqaf, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash, Minister for Revenue, Javaid Mustafa Mir, Minister for Health & Medical Education and ARI & Training, Lal Singh, Minister for Rural Development, Mr Abdul Haq Khan, Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Mr Bali Bhagat, Minister for Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs and Relief & Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari, Minister for Public Health Engineering, Mr Sukhnandan Kumar, Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution and Tribal Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, Minister for Science & Technology and Animal Husbandry, Mr Sajad Gani Lone, Minister for Finance, Labour & Employment and Culture, Mr Haseeb A Drabu, Minister for Agriculture Production, Mr Ghulam Nabi Lone, Minister for Public Works, Floriculture and Parks, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports, Mr Imran Raza Ansari and Minister for Education, Mr Naeem Akhter.
Meanwhile, Ministers of State for Cooperative (Independent Charge) and MoS Ladakh Affairs, Mr Chering Dorjay, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Irrigation & Flood Control, Animal Husbandry and Forest, Mr Abdul Majid Padder, Minister of State for Public Works (R&B) and Revenue, Mr Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Power Development and Housing & Urban Development, Mr Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge), Mos Rural Development and Horticulture, Mr Abdul Ghani Kohli, Minister of State for Information, Education and Culture, Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Mr Pawan Kumar Gupta and Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare Ms. Asiya Naqash have also greeted the people on this auspicious occasion.




President Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Ghulam Ahmed Mir (former Minister) has extended greetings to the people of the state on the eve of the festival of Holi.

Shri Mir said that Holi, the festival of colours conveys the triumph of truth and righteousness over wrong. It also symbolizes the sense of brotherhood, harmony and joy to all people. May these festivals shower peace and harmony amongst all sections of people in the state.
