JPPF condemns the anti-national statement of Chief Minister

Jammu, March 04, (Scoop News)-Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) condemned the anti-national statement of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed at his first press conference after taking oath of allegiance to constitution of India giving credit of smooth and successful conduct of elections to Pakistan, Hurriyat and militants, in utter disregard to the sincere efforts of belt forces, Election Commission of India and huge turnout of voters, who were actually behind the successful elections. Mr Mufti ignored the sacrifices of innocent civilians, who lost their lives during Pakistani firing violations to disrupt and derail the election process in the state. Mr Mufti also forgot the boycott call given by the Hurriyat and several militants attacks in the valley. JPPF terms the said statement of Mr Mufti as anti-national and demands from Government of India to seek unqualified apology from the newly sworn-in Chief Minister.
JPPF also expresses anguish over the demand by PDP to return the mortal remains of Afzal Guru the mastermind behind the terrorist attack on the Parliament of India which resulted in killing of several innocent peoples and is akin to insult, disregard and contempt of verdict of Supreme Court of India.
As regards common minimum programme JPPF is grossly disappointed as the same is nothing but an eyewash cleverly orchestrated as Jammu people has been cheated in view of their en-mass voting with a hope that their long pending aspirations at all level shall be addressed. JPPF makes fervent appeal to people of Jammu to remain vigilant against the mechanizations of the newly formed government. It is shocking to observe that BJP seems to have meekly surrendered the interest and aspirations of people of Jammu in eagerness to be part of the coalition government of the Jammu & Kashmir state. It is ridiculous to find out that BJP excepted six cabinet berths as against eleven by its partner PDP in the cabinet. JPPF is of considered opinion that it was better for BJP to sit in opposition than to commit this suicidal alliance.
Mr Katoch was flanked by Mr Inderjeet Khajuria, Mr Gajjan Singh Khajuria, Mr Avinash Bhatia, Mr ML Sharma, Mr Rajiv Mhajan, Dr Agishekhar, Mr Sanjay Moza, Mr Tilak Kashyap, Prof BL Bhardwaj, Mr Balwinder Bhatia, Ms Kamla Sharma, RL Tandon and Pt RC Sharma.
