| Belan Brigade to start public agitation against liquor on Women Day | | 
Ludhiana, March 05, (Scoop News)-Belan Brigade has decided to oppose liquor shops opened by excise department of Punjab at every nook & corner of the street.
Architect Anita Sharma national President of Belan Brigade in a Press conference called upon all religious, social and political leaders’s conference on 8th March Women Day to clear their stand against liquor/drugs abuse.
She said that to collect revenue from the labor class to put their lives in chronic diseases. Punjab Government has opened a number of liquor/wine shops at every nook & corner of urban & rural area’s street. As a result when a labor person return home after hard work in night in the stress wherever he looks a wine shop at the road side he purchased a wine bottle & drink it and reach at home empty hand.
Anita Sharma further told that if government wants to make Punjab drugs free first of all it should have to take appropriate step to stop the sixth river of alcohol in Punjab and she demanded from government in the memorandum to reduce every year 20 to 25 percent wine shop, govt. pass a resolution for employee’s salary date that salary will be paid on every month at the same date and liquor shop on that dated every month must be kept closed. Without the consent of area’s resident, excise department do not open wine shop, health department time to time may check the quality of wine and its ingredient, excise department may put all detail on his website, sale & purchase of all wine shop, on the bottles level in 80 percent space must be written in the regional language what is the bad affect consequences of alcohol in the body part, all Govt employee must be checked with mouth analyzer at the time of attendance every morning, if any govt. employee found alcohol addicted, must be suspended immediately, cancelled the driving license of drunk driver, As per town planning there is commercial, focal point and residential areas’ location, govt. must declared a special areas for the liquor shop. Punjab Government must opened health clinic and hospital as per the ratio of liquor shop?
