Director Law Enforcement recommends suspension of licenses of various dealers
Srinagar, March 31 (Scoop News)-A team of Law Enforcement Agency today conduct an extensive tour of Kashmir Valley and took stock of situation of availability of various tree spray oils, fungicides, insecticides and fertilizers for the farming community in the Valley.
The team was headed by Director Law Enforcement J&K.
During the inspection in district Baramulla, Bandipora, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama and Budgam, the team inspected various godowns of distributors & dealers and directed them to make available the stocks of these inputs to orchardists and farming community of the valley on fair prices.
In district Baramulla, licenses of Fertilizer Dealers namely M/s Apple Town Traders, Sopore Resident of Takyabal Darnambal, Sopore, Abdul Hamid Khanday, Sopore Resident of Lalad Sopore, M/s Waseem Shahnaz Fertilizers, Sopore, Resident of Warpora, Sopore, M/s D. R. Enterprises, Sopore, Resident of Tarzoo, Sopore have been recommended for suspension of license as they were found running their business in contravention of Fertilizer Control Order, 1985. Also license of one Insecticide dealers namely M/s Bhat Traders, Bahrampora, Sopore has been recommended for suspension of license as the said dealer was running his business in contravention of Insecticides Act, 1968.
In district Bandipora, M/s Ashiq Pesticides, Resident of Hajin (Danger Mohalla) and Zahoor Ahmad Parray Resident of Hajin (Parray Mohalla) were found running their business in contravention of Insecticides Act, 1968 and action was taken against them as per Insecticides Act, 1968. Two FIR’s were lodged against Mohammad Shaban Dar Son of Ab. Rehman Resident of Shahgund Sumbal and Aijaz Ahmad Dar Son of Farooq Ahmad Dar Resident of Hajin Sonawari both fertilizer dealers who were running their business in contravention of Fertilizer Control Order, 1985, the licenses of Farooq Ahmad Wagay Resident of Bahrabad Hajin, Zahoor Ahmad Resident of Hajin (Parray Mohalla) and Naseer Ahmad Reshi Resident of Nesabal Sumbal have been recommended for suspension of their licenses as they were also running their business in contravention of Fertilizer Control Order, 1985. Also 3600 liters of Tree Spray Oil were got distributed by one Tariq Ahmad Wani of Naidkhai under the monitoring of Enforcement Agency.
In district Anantnag and Kulgam, insecticide dealers namely M/s Manzoor Agro Sales, Bijbehara, M/s Agro Chemicals, Katarsoo, M/s Sheikh Pesticides, Kadar and M/s Hilal Agro Chemicals, Yaripora were found running their business in contravention of Insecticides Act, 1968 and accordingly were booked under various sections of the Act. Godown of one Shabir Naikoo C/o Naikoo Pesticides from Kulgam was raided and 400 liters of Tree Spray Oil were recovered and on spot distribution was made among the orchardists of the area under the supervision of Law Enforcement Agency.
In district Shopian and Pulwama, 14100 liters of Tree Spray Oil “Arbofine” was recovered from godown of M/s Javid Agro Chemicals, Shopian and its distribution was ensured in presence of Enforcement Officers of that district. In addition, 16170 liters of Hindustan Petroleum and 6000 liters of Orchol Tree Spray Oil from R. G. Industries Ltd. were got distributed through six dealers of district Shopian under the suppression of Law Enforcement Agency and the report was submitted to District Development Commissioner, Shopian. In addition, a meeting with District Development Commissioner, Shopian was held in his office chambers in which different distributors of Tree Spray Oil, Insecticides and Fertilizers were also present, on spot directions were given by the District Development Commissioner, Shopian and Director Law Enforcement, J&K Govt. to dealers to make availability of Tree Spray Oils/various Insecticides, Fungicides and Fertilizers to the orchardists/ farming community of the areas on fair prices and the distributors were warned of strict action if found involved in creating scarcity/ black-marketing and contravening any provisions of the Insecticides Act, 1968 and Fertilizer Control Order-1985.
