| TA holding massive recruitment rally in state | | nearly 1500 jobs in various trades to be filled | Udhampur April 13, (Scoop News)-The Territorial Army (TA) Group Headquarter under the aegis of Army’s Northern Command will be organising recruitment rally for Soldier General Duty, Clerks, Store Keeper Technical (SKT), Surveyor, Tradesmen (Chef community, Masalchi, Steward, Housekeeper, Hair Dresser, Washerman and Drivers) categories from Apri 27 to May 1, a defence spokesman said on Monday.
He said the trade test will be held on May 2 and medical exam on April 28 and interview on May 3 to May 9.
The total 1305 vacancies from entire state of Jammu and Kashmir less Kargil & Leh Districts for which separate advertisement will be published later.
The break up of the vacancies, according to the spokesman, stood as General Duty Soldier: 1125, Clerks:12, Surveyor: 33, Tradesman: 132 and Store Keeper Technical (SKT) 03.
The aspirant candidates, he said, should be of the age between 18 and 42 years (48 years in case of Ex-servicemen) with physical parameters height-160 cm (minimum), weight 50 Kgs (minimum), chest -77 cms with expansion 5 cm. There is relaxation in physical standards for son of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen/ War Widow/National/State level Sportsman.
Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms ie from inside of reverse side palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred for further selection, the spokesman pointed out.
Screening of aspirant candidates for Jammu region (Location of rally-Surankote ,Doda & Reasi) and Kashmir region ( Location of rally- Anantnag, Baramulla and Kupwara) will be held at different dates for candidates of different districts.
