YC Kishtwar demanded early start of work on Chenab Valley Power Projects | sorted CM's intervention | Kishtwar,May 05 (Scoop News)-Youth Congress Kishtwar today urged the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir , Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for early start of work on Chenab Valley Power Projects. Youth Congress claimed that it will surely put a check on the alarming rate of unemployment and will also prove to be a great boon for the economy of state once the projects gets commissioned.
Dawood Bashir, Youth Congress Leader Kishtwar today demanded the execution of various hydroelectric projects at the earliest. Failing of which has rendered thousands of educated skilled unemployed youth of kishtwar frustrated. He further said that government should take immediate steps to ensure early start of work so that thousands of unemployed youth could earn their livelihood thereby safeguarding the future of their families. In addition to this,Dawood demanded the shifting of Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) headquarters at Kishtwar, as the projects for which this corporation came into existence are at Kishtwar. Dawood showed his displeasure over the CVPPL authorities for causing huge loss to the state exchequer by putting up its offices at Jammu and Srinagar instead of Kishtwar.
