DC Kathua reviews updation of ration cards record, functioning of Rev Dept
Kathua, May 28 (Scoop News)-To review the progress under updation of ration card records, District Development Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal chaired a meeting of officers here today.
ADDC Kathua, SDM Hiranagar, SDM Basohli, SDM Billawar, SDM Bani, ACR Kathua, ACD Kathua, AD CAPD, Tehsildars, BDO’s and TSO’s were present in the meeting.
The DC took review of the progress made under Ration Card Gram Sabha held in rural areas and ward sabha in the municipal limits in all blocks with the aim of verification and authentication of BPL/APL families for 100% coverage of families under targeted public distribution of ration.
The DC Kathua directed AD CAPD, TSO’s of all tehsils to complete the updation process and furnish the records after proper verification.
He gave strict directions to all the TSO’s to exclude the names of persons who do not fall in the category of BPL. He further directed BDO’s and Tehsildars to include names of genuine cases under BPL/APL and furnish the report of additional families for proper updation of the record.
DDC further laid stress on early completion of verification and authentication of BPL/APL and directed the BDO’s and TSO’s to work in coordination for the completion of updation at an earliest.
Later DDC convened a meeting with revenue officers and reviewed the functioning of the department.
A threadbare discussion on the progress of land acquisition cases and removal of encroachments was also held wherein DDC impressed upon the revenue officers and staff to work with utmost dedication. He further directed the officers to ensure that encroachments are removed at an earliest. He also called upon tehsildars to submit crop damage report and for early completion of computerization of relief data with full detail of beneficiary and other relevant details.
DDC also took review of the progress under ADHAAR card project.
