Power shutdown in Jammu
Jammu, July 28 (Scoop News)- In order to carry out erection of 33 KV VCBs at Sainik Colony, Nanak Nagar and Railway Station Complex S/Stn by M/s. IRCON International Limited, shutdown of 33 KV line feeding power supply to 33/11 KV S/Stn. Sainik Colony, Nanak Nagar and Railway Complex would be observed.


During the shutdown, power supply to Sainik Colony and its adjoining areas shall remain affected from 6 am to 9 am on July 30, 2015, Nanak Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, part of Shastri Nagar and Sanjay Nagar from 6 am to 10 am on July 31, 2015 and University, Bikram Chowk, Green Belt area, Apsara Road and its adjoining areas, PHE, MES, Panama Chowk area from 6 am to 9 am on August 01, 2015.


Meanwhile, to carry out the work of PCC Pole erection and installation of HT/LT Cable by M/s IRCON International Ltd under
r-APDRP project, shutdown of Canal Road, Shakti Nagar and Krishna Nagar would be observed from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. from July 29, to August 03, 2015.
In order to carry out work of erection of PCC Poles and earthing by M/s IRCON under R-APDRP works, the 11 KV feeders RC-1, CH-5, JDA-5, BL-3 & G-2 shall remain under shut down from 29th July to 11th of August 2015 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The areas affected including Green Belt Park area, Triveni Hospital, CC Block, Wave Mall, Channi Rama, Trikuta Nagar Sec 4,5 &7, Jeevan Nagar, Ajit Nagar, Babliyana, Upper Gadigarh, Gangyal Police Station, CRPF Camp and Model Town.



Similarly, due to outage of 132 KV Transmission Line from Canal to Miransahib, the power supply shall remain affected in the areas being fed from Grid Station Gangyal and Miran Sahib till the transmission line is restored. As such rotational curtailment shall be enforced. Public are requested to bear with the department and use power judiciously.


According to the Chief Engineer Electric and Maintenance and RE Wing, the above said shutdowns are subject to fair weather condition.
