| Indian and Chinese troops meet on PLA's raising day | | BPM held in Moldo and DB Oldie areas near LoAC | 
Moldo, August 1, (Scoop News)-A Ceremonial Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) on the occasion of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Day was conducted on Saturday at Chinese BPM Hut in Moldo Garrison across Line of Actual Control (LoAC) in Chushul Sector of Eastern Ladakh, a senior defence official said.
The Delegations were led by Brigadier JKS Virk, SM from the Indian Side and Senior Colonel Chen Zheng Shan from the Chinese Side.
He said the day also marked a milestone in India-China relation at the border troops level as the PLA hosted an Indian Army Delegation for the first time in the area of Daulat Beg Oldie. The Indian Delegation was led by Col BS Uppal and the Chinese Delegation was led by Colonel Song Zhoanli.
The BPM on the occasion of PLA Day is conducted every year by Chinese troops with great enthusiasm. The occasion was s n marked by salutations to the Chinese National flag and was followed by ceremonial address by both Delegation Leaders.
"The proceedings reflected the mutual desire of maintaining and improving relations at functional level at the border. A cultural programme showcasing vibrant Chinese culture and traditional grandeur was also organized, followed by a banquet", the official added.
"Both the delegations interacted in a free, congenial and cordial environment", he said adding,the delegation parted amidst feeling of friendship and commitment towards enhancing the existing cordial relations and maintaining peace along the LoAC".
