| DIG CKR reviews security of border district Leh | | Meets Jawans, civil society members |
Srinagar,August 02 (Scoop News)-DIG Central Kashmir Range Srinagar G. H. Bhat, visited Leh and reviewed the overall security of the border district, addressed jawans, and met civil society members of the district.
The DIG chaired a meeting of district administration Leh in which all the top officers of the district participated. In the meeting, the overall security scenario of the district, the crime and its prevention and detection was also discussed.
Addressing the meeting, the DIG emphasized upon the officers to fine tune their security plans and adopt new techniques for detection of crime and also take preventive actions for maintenance of law and order in the district.
In the meeting SP Leh, Dr. Sunil Gupta briefed the DIG, regarding the work and functioning of the district police in handling the crime and also the law and order situations. The DIG stressed upon the officers present to adopt people friendly approach and redress the grievances of general public on priority basis.
The officer also held interactions with the respectable citizens of Leh and assured them of all possible assistance and redressal of genuine grievances.
The visiting officer addressed a darbar of officers and policemen. He gave a patient hearing to the jawans and ordered redressal of the genuine grievances on spot. The DIG stressed upon the senior officers to take personal interest in the welfare of jawans. On the occasion, an ATM of J&K Bank was also inaugurated in District Police Lines Leh to meet a long pending demand of the jawans.
