| RR flags off 20 Students on a cultural and heritage tour of state | |
Mahore, August 26, (Scoop News)-An educational cum motivational tour was flagged off on Wednesday from Mahore, a defence spokesman said .
He said the tour organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Bagga under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Uniform Force Headquarters based at Reasi includes 20 students from Balmatkote, Gulabgarh, Mahore, Bagga and Jhangar villages.
"The tour will cover various educational and cultural institutions at Udhampur, Srinagar, Leh, Kargil and Drass and have an exposure to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the state", the spokesman added.
He said the tour will visit educational institutions of Jammu and Kashmir like College of Science and Commerce, Govt Medical College, Industrial Training Institute, Srinagar, Army Public School Leh, Amar Singh College, Institute of Hotel Management, Govt College of Education Kashmir, Govt Poly Tech College, Kashmir Law College and Shantiniketan College of Education.
Students will also visit various historical spots and s n places of interest like Dal Lake and Shikara ride, Mughal Gardens, Cheshm-e-Shahi, Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Commander Rashtriya Rifles Sector said that this will enable the young impressionable minds to broaden their horizon and act as a stepping stone for the students of this remote region to connect themselves with the rest of the Jammu and Kashmir. ... |
