JKNPP Leaders protest against persecution
Bhim Singh on sit-in-dharna at Jantar Mantar
New Delhi, September 11 (Scoop News)-Prof.Bhim Singh, Sr. Advocate, Member, National Integration Council & Chief Patron of National Panthers Party shifted his office/residence to Jantar Mantar, Hyde Park of India after being ousted from his office/residence at 17, V.P. House.
The Panthers Party Spokesman, Shri B.S. Billowria, Advocate said that Panthers Party Supremo is being persecuted for his long 55 years old battle against discrimination and injustice to the people of J&K particularly the POK and Pak refugees, the youth, the women. The latest cause of provocation to Prime Minister Modi is that Prof.Bhim Singh declared a war of the party against Modi-Mufti government in J&K for levying ‘Jizya’ against Hindu pilgrims travelling by helicopter from Katra to Sanjhi Chhat within territorial range of dharmarth (now Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board).
That Prof.Bhim Singh was allotted guest accommodation in V.P. House by Prime Minister, Shri Chander Shekhar in view of the security threat to his life by the militants and terrorists in 1991, cancelled by BJP government.
Prof.Bhim Singh has been thrown out of V.P. House where he was paying market rent + penalty, about Rs.15000/- per month as rent just for one room-suit accommodation, where he used to receive at least 200 Kashmiris every day and listen to their grievances. He has filed more than 15 PILs against the J&K government in the civil rights cases in support of the people of J&K, particularly the refugees, the allottees, Jammu Migrants (Talwara), West Pakistan refugees, against Resettlement Act, for delimitation of J&K and all that which are still pending in the Supreme Court. Both the national parties Congress and BJP has been opposing his petitions in the Supreme Court. Of course both National Conference and BJP are one in opposing Panthers Party’s PILs.
The government wanted to shut Prof.Bhim Singh and stop his nationalist activities from Delhi. Therefore, he was shown the way out. Now he is on the road of the capital in the country for which he has been fighting for 55 years.
