Military Nursing Service celebrates its 90th raising day | in JK they stick to their motto, 'Service to all with smile' | Udhampur, October 1, (Scoop News)-The nursing officers of Military Nursing Service at Command Hospital Udhampur celebrated their 90th MNS Raising Day on Thursday, a defence spokesman said.
On this occasion, Lt Gen DS Hooda, GOC-in-C (Army Commander) extended his greetings to all MNS officers and their families, staff of MNS in the Command Zone, he said.
"Military Nursing Service is an Integral glorious service of Defence Forces with an enduring ability to deliver effective nursing care to the sick and wounded, despite all constraints, the spokesman said adding "the mission of MNS is “Excellence in Patient Care” both in war and peace, which is pursued with utmost fervor, zeal and zest " . On October 1, 1926, a permanent nursing service for the Indian troops was formed and was designated as Indian Military Nursing Service.
MNS Officer’s valuable contribution to the armed forces has been well appreciated all around both in India and abroad. MNS Officers have not only achieved professional efficiency but have also rendered quality service with dedication, missionary zeal and empathy.
