| Question Hour in LC -Possession of Sidhra land handed over to JDA: Dy CM | | Srinagar, October 5,(Scoop News)-Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh while replying to a question by Ajatshatru Singh in the Legislative Council today said the land in Sidhra, Jammu and adjoining areas including Sidhra Part III, Majeen Part-I and II, Rangoora Part-I and II has been acquired. He added that the final award of villages Sidhra III and Rangoora II has been issued. While as land acquisition is under process for villages Majeen Part I, Majeen Part- II and Rangoora Part III for finalization of award.
The Deputy Chief Minister said possession of the land has been handed over to Jammu Development Authority (JDA).
925 kanals of land vacated through anti-encroachment drive along river Tawi : Paddar
Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Abdul Majid Padder said that I&FC department has got vacated 925 kanals of land on the backs of river Tawi in Jammu at various places through anti-encroachment drive.
The Minister said this while replying to a question by Ashok Khajuria in the Legislative Council today. The Minister said that the complete details of land encroached on the banks of river Tawi are being compiled by the Revenue Department. The Minister further said that to vacate such land from encroachers an anti-encroachment drive has been launched in the light of J&K Water Resources (Regulatory and Management Act-2010) & Rules 2011.
